Our Team

Decades of experience

Since opening the doors in 2005, we’ve carefully assembled a group of individuals that functions as a smart, seasoned team. As you’ll discover by reading the brief bios assembled here, we offer clients decades of experience, not a small thing considering the complex and ever-changing industry we work in. As a result, our clients feel confident when we say, “We’ve got this.”

Small and mighty—that’s how we think about ourselves. We’re efficient and effective, which means we can afford to offer expert consulting services—all focused on details, deadlines, regulations and compliance issues—at a good value.

Mathew J. Calamita

QPA, QKA, QPFC
President

Though I spent the first years of my career gaining experience in the retirement plan industry, I was eager to offer clients a more complete range of services. With that in mind, I founded Delaware Valley Retirement in 2005. I now serve as the company’s president and am a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) and the ASPPA Benefits Council of the Delaware Valley. I’m happy to serve our clients as a seasoned consultant, offering expertise in the design and implementation of qualified retirement plans.

I look forward to meeting you and invite you to get to know the rest of our team.

Suzette Young

I hold an Associates of Science degree from Widener University, have earned the CEBS designation from The International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School of Univ. of Pennsylvania. I also hold QPA and QKA designations from the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA), and hold an ERPA designation allowing me to practice before the IRS. Our clients look to me for plan design and plan document drafting. I also work with them on compliance support and a variety of special projects including VCP submissions and IRS Audit support.
